Caledonia Harvest Festival
This Saturday we will be participating for the first time ever in the Caledonia Harvest Festival. Hours are 9am to 2pm and we'll be there the whole time paying games and having a drawing for free Forest of Fear tickets. Stop by and check out our new booth design!
CPR At the Clubhouse

Kentwood Jaycees will be hosting a 3 hour class. At the end of the night you will be CPR Certified. Cost is FREE to Kentwood Jaycees, $5 for other Jaycees, and $10 for guests. Please note that this is open to the public and we would love to have as many people as possible. Packed and energized for the weekend to come, I locked my apartment doors, tossed my gear in the back my truck and headed for Grand Rapids. During the drive I thought about seeing my fellow Kentwood, Region C and Michigan Jaycees; many for the first time. I thought about the evening baseball game, opening ceremonies, party and how I would be able to sleep after all this excitement. This was my first Jaycee Convention, the first time I would truly feel as though I was part of something much bigger than any one region or chapter.

August Convention in Region C!!
It’s finally here… August convention in Region C!
I hope that I get to see you all, you can still register. Just a couple notes for the wknd:Friday – Registration is 5-6pm and 11:30pm-1am. Please wear your convention t-shirt to the game (if you get one, otherwise a Jaycee shirt please). Bus leaves at 6:15 for the game from the hotel.Opening ceremonies will begin around 11:30pm (after the bus returns)Saturday – Business Dress for trainings, Ball – semi-formal/formal, Region C shirt for the party after!Trainings begin at 10am. I’m 99% sure First Timers will be on Saturday morning.

May GMM and Blood Drive
During our May GMM we gave away two $500 scholarship awards to two very deserving graduating high school seniors. Congratulations to Kaitlyn Kyser and Elizabeth Teesdale! Thanks to chair people Samantha Meeuwes and Lisa Welter and all of those who voted.
We also held a Blood Drive from 5pm till 9pm. Thanks to the great people from Michigan Blood who came out with the blood bus. They collected 8 Units in total. Special thanks to project chair Kevyn Jones for putting this together.

2011 Senior Prom - Butterfly Ball
On Wednesday we held our annual Senior Prom. The theme this year was Butterfly ball. Everyone had an awesome time! As the night went on we made two special seniors the King and Queen of the ball. Thanks to Maplecreek - The Lodge for allowing us to dance with their great residents. Also a big thanks to Me 'n' Mrs Jones Mobile Music for spinnin' the hits.
