Let's get Phycial - Craig's cruisers night

March GMM - Update!!
This Thursday, March 8, we will hold our GMM at the taste of Kentwood at the Kentwood Recreation Department. We have reserved 20 tickets and they will be provided on a first come first serve bases. If you arrive after tickets are gone, they are $10 at the door. Here is what is on Mlive.com for the event:
The event will allow community members to sample food from a number of restaurants including Bailey’s Grove Coffee & Creamery, Boardwalk Subs, Eclectic Eatery, Great Harvest Bread Co., Monelli’s Italian Grill, On the Border, T.G.I. Friday’s, Texas Roadhouse and more.
Two sessions are scheduled, from 4 to 6 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
A silent auction will take place, with items including a two-night stay at Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel and Mission Point Resort, golf packages, tickets to Mac Wood’s Dune Rides, sporting event tickets, sports memorabilia and more, with all proceeds benefiting the 2010 4th of July celebration.
Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Ticket proceeds will benefit the R.E.A.C.H. summer park youth program.

Family Night and Book Club
This year the Kentwood Jaycees will begin a new tradition helping the Grand Rapids Public Schools at a family night and book fair. The event is being held at Covell Elementary on Tuesday March 6, from 5:30-8pm. We would like to have a group of people there in Jaycee gear to represent our chapter and help make a difference in this school.

Bowling at Woodys
This Friday, February 24, 2012 we invite everyone to Bowling At Woody's at 8PM. This is part of our new "Let's get physical" project and we hope your there to make it a sucsess.

CPR At the Clubhouse
Looking to learn CPR?
Kentwood Jaycees will be hosting a 3 hour class. At the end of the night you will be CPR Certified. Cost is FREE to Kentwood Jaycees, $5 for other Jaycees, and $10 for guests. Please note that this is open to the public and we would love to have as many people as possible. Caledonia Harvest Festival
This Saturday we will be participating for the first time ever in the Caledonia Harvest Festival. Hours are 9am to 2pm and we'll be there the whole time paying games and having a drawing for free Forest of Fear tickets. Stop by and check out our new booth design!

Michigan Jaycees 2Q Convention – August 12-14 2011: A First Timers View
Packed and energized for the weekend to come, I locked my apartment doors, tossed my gear in the back my truck and headed for Grand Rapids. During the drive I thought about seeing my fellow Kentwood, Region C and Michigan Jaycees; many for the first time. I thought about the evening baseball game, opening ceremonies, party and how I would be able to sleep after all this excitement. This was my first Jaycee Convention, the first time I would truly feel as though I was part of something much bigger than any one region or chapter.
